Mysterious Japanese producer, Itah, returns to the label with another collection of post-Techno tracks that are challenging, inspiring and unmistakably unique.
At Here To Hell HQ, listening critically to Itah's production and arrangement leaves us with more questions than answers: while the synthetic harmonies seem inspired by the best of Detroit Techno, there are modern methods weaved into the works that remind us of South London's bass since the turn of this century, along with the furious broken rhythms coming from Northern England in the 1990s.
The artist's own words generate only further mystique: '[these are] records of the voices of my ghosts.'
Whatever the inspiration, we feel compelled to share this collection of four tracks that break the mould:
1. Near Your Moon
2. Devices With Snowflakes
3. Rainy Ogre
